Square Enix released a special video on Feburary 20, 2026, announcing that NieR: Automata has officially sold 10 million copies worldwide.

As the end of the video, a final message appeared: 'Nier: Automata to be continued'. This left fans (including myself!) with a question: Is this a direct sequel to the NieR: Automata, a new anime project, or a new spin-off?

Seeing this message, makes me to play NieR: Automata again, just for the revisiting the story again.
